I continue to try and peal away the visual elements of this site, in the hope of replacing those excesses with content. So while this site may look like it's undergone another major refresh -- in reality I've just excised most of the interesting bits from the CSS and HTML.
In fairness then -- as the site has lost a cool backdrop and extruded boxes from the strip titles -- what has it gained? First and foremost is a new comic. Full Stop which is premiering this coming Monday and will be "airing?" every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from here on out. And just for your assurance there is a huge buffer of updates. 27 pages of updates floating somewhere in the undefinable cloud. That's just about two months when you factor in a couple of the larger updates. If you were at New York Comic Con you may have picked up a copy and read them already, if not well you might still get the chance to purge on 27 simultaneous pulpy sheets.
Second and less foremost is the addition of several other strips I've worked on at one time or another to the bottom of this page. You may -- dishearteningly -- notice that Louisiana Purchased has lost a spot of prominence. It will someday continue, but for now it rests peacefully in the dark, waiting for a chance to spring when least expected.
Finally on a more structural note the "Newest Update" bar affixed to the top half of this screen has changed to a "What's New?!" bar. And to kick off the first of many weeks of regularly updating content you're going to see something new in there Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and FRIDAY next week. What's coming on Tuesday and Thursday? Well, on of them is SM!SS! Chapter two 3D.
In the meantime, over the weekend particularly, bear with us as we update the individual pages to fit into the new site.
Several of the chapters feature Comics Engine -- a collaborative effort between myself and Charlie Olson -- and can be dimensionally manipulated like tiny dioramas. Currently you need a desktop computer with flash to use it, but we're working on some CSS/Mobile/App stuff that'll be coming out down the line.
Chapter 2 in 3D is still having a few kinks worked out. For instance while scrolling is implemented it's a bit rough. We know what's going on and it will be fixed. Also there's no loader so you may have to wait a second. We're maybe sharing a little early, but, well... excited. In the meantime consider Chapter it Chapter 2 3D ALPHA
